FreeRideMX team rider Keith Sayers just got back on American soil after his week long stay in Prague, Czech Republic for the FMX Gladiator Games. Keith travels ALOT for his FMX shows and demos. His skills on a Dirt Bike has taken him all over the world including Canada, China, Mexico, all of North America, and now Europe. When you travel as much as Keith does, you have to find something to occupy the down time, especially when you have A.D.D. as bad as Keith does. I mean this guy always has to be doing something, and recently he has started making little videos of his trips. I think that the videos are looking good and its cool to see what it is like to travel the world as a Pro FMX rider. Be sure to check out more of Keith over at his personal site Keith Sayers.com

Creative Angles

by: Steven Haughelstine

In the sport of Free Style Motocross (FMX) there are limited obsticles. There are ramps, dirt jumps, wall rides, and now quarter pipes. Most of the time though, it is just ramps. One jump, with a ramp take off, and either a dirt or mobile landing. Being a videographer or photographer in the sport of FMX requires a keen eye for creative angles so the subject or (rider) will not seem like the same ol same ol. Keeping things looking fresh and not the same in a sport where things are very repetitive can be a challenge. Having good riders, and equally good videographers is key. In the above video you will witness some creative angles, including a zip line shot that was set up at Wes Agee‘s house for the filming of my 2008 DVD release, From the Ground Up 2. We ran a cable from a little tree, across the landing, to the bumper of my truck, then backed my truck up to pull it tight. Next step I put on my harness, buckled into the line, hit the record button on my camera, then “zipped” down the line to the other side while capturing the guys jumping the ramp. Some guys that were there just watching were talking smack, saying that my shots probly look crappy and that I was stupid for strapping into the zip line. Well, I will let all of you be the judges. Here is an actual segment from the Motocross/ FMX DVD, “From the Ground Up 2″. (R.I.P. Jeremy Lusk, you will always be missed, you are a true ledgend)…

To Download From the Ground Up 2 to your phone or computer, or buy the DVD visit the STORE.
