PARDO-N ME! IM A FREERIDER!

I am always looking for new places to freeride my dirt bike. Scanning page after page on the internet for sweet natural terrain moto riding spots. This time I found some locals ripping it up at the Oregon Coast sand dunes on Vimeo. I liked the video so much that I emailed the maker of the video, Dan Pardovich, and asked him a few questions about who he is and what he loves about freeriding his motor bike. His outlook on riding his bike is alot like mine! Ride, explore, and have fun! Check it out…..-Steve Haughelstine
My name is Dan Pardovich, my friends call me Pardo. I grew up in Florence on the Oregon coast. I have been riding since i was 4 years old. My first bike was a Honda 50. My buddies and I pretty much ride all the dunes on the Oregon coast looking for jumps. I have been to Glamis sand dunes a couple times, and went to Saint Anthony sand dunes for the first time this last June and will go again at least twice a year from here on out! That place was sick!!! We found alot of big jumps there! In the summer time we mix it up a bit and ride some Motocross tracks, “Mountain View” in Sandy Oregon is my favorite! When the time change comes in Spring and the weather starts getting better, we start up the Wednesday night ride after work. We load up the bikes and head to the coast and burn a tank on our dirt bikes. I ride at least 2-3 times a week in the Summer. The dunes are constantly changing and I dont want to miss out on any jumps that mother nature has to offer! My parents and I are partners in a family log trucking business, in which i am a diesel mechanic, and also drive truck too. I bleed orange, the KTM 450sxf is the bike of choice for me! Well thats me, I love to Free Ride MX, and thanks again Steve, its an honor!!!

Jeremy Lusk was a guy that didn’t care what your status was, who you knew, or any crap like that. He was a REAL guy, someone who worked for what he had, and worked hard. He took his work ethic and applied it to his passion of riding his Dirt Bike, putting all fears of success or failure behind him and focusing on his dreams. He made them happen. Today is a day to remember not only a great FMX rider, but a great man. RIP Jeremy Lusk, you are forever a Legend in Motocross history.
Here is a couple videos of Jeremy’s life and riding:

I will go for sure next time. Till then I will just stare at these pics that Jay sent me and dream of free ridding my dirt bike. -Steve Haughelstine
